This little guy is 7 months old, and just as cute as can be! I really like to capture the 7-8 month old age because baby is usually sitting on their own, and oh-so-expressive. The last time I saw this family was for their maternity session… in the restaurant they own in Franklin (Red Pony Restaurant). I was excited when mom said that she wanted to do this session in their NEW restaurant across the street. It’s an upscale Mexican restaurant called Sol and should be opening later this week. You should stop by and grab a bite with them at either place next time you’re in Franklin.

Just a reminder that tomorrow is HALLOWEEN… and coincidentally, the perfect time to capture your little spook in their costume. If you’re a potential client… this is a great way to ‘try me out’ and see if I’m the photographer for your child. If you’re an existing client, then this is a great way to add to your ‘collection’. The prize is a complimentary session and a 10×20 storyboard from your session. These popular storyboards can be custom designed to match your child’s room decor and are super cute. Fall Fun | Sewanee, TN Child Session

We took a road trip to the gorgeous campus of the University of the South in Sewanee for this photo session. It started out overcast in Murfreesboro when we headed out, but nothing too bad to deal with, right? Seven miles before our exit… still, no change… but maybe the sun will break though any minute. THEN we hit the Sewanee exit and it was pure fog… visibility only far enough to see the icy breath exit your mouth. No joke. BUT, we didn’t let that stop us. Plans had been made, cute coordinating clothing had been purchased, and we’d ridden in a van for an hour. That’s right… no turning back.
Here is just a tiny sneak peek for mom before bed. You’ll see the rest soon, friend… I promise.

Submissions will be received October 25 - November 1. Once all submissions are in, each photo will be posted on the blog. Please note that I will not use your child’s last name on the blog. Most likely I will reference them by their ‘costume’ name. Be sure to send your friends and family to vote! Only one vote per person, plese!
If you have friends who would be interested in entering the contest, please direct them to this blog for more information. The more, the merrier!

Holiday Cards & Updated Availability

I am really excited about the Christmas Card designs I will be offering this year. I think there is a design in there that each of my clients will like. Here are a couple of samples:

If you would like to schedule a session, please contact me SOON… my availability before the holiday break is going fast. I’ve been asked if I do weekend sessions… the answer is YES, but on a very limited basis. If I don’t have family activities planned, I will consider doing a session on a Saturday… +$50 to regular session fee. Here is my current availability:

… until Christmas. But who’s counting, right?? 
I’ve received several inquiries from some of you who want to do a session for Christmas cards, or are interested in giving portraits as gifts. Here are the specifics:
- If you want Christmas cards, I am accepting limited sessions until November 16th. If you would like to schedule a session, please call me as soon as possible.
- If you’ve already had a session during 2007 and would like Christmas cards using an image from your previous session, please call or email me for details. In order to ensure delivery for the holidays, the deadline for ordering is November 16th.
- In order to enjoy the holidays with my family, I will not be accepting sessions during December.
EXCEPTION: if you are expecting and want to schedule a NEWBORN session during the holiday break, please call me NOW and I’ll do my best to reserve a spot for you.

This is the same little guy that you see on the opening page of my new website (along with his mommy)… 7 months later. He’s sitting, rolling over, and oh-so-ready to crawl… any day now.
Their home has gorgeous landscaping… so we decided to venture outside in an attempt to capture an image with the entire family. Dad is usually behind the camera, and as a result… he’s not in so many pictures (I can definitely empathize with you, E!). Hopefully this sweet image will remedy that situation.

Meet the most organized and prepared mom-to-be I have ever met. Not only is this mom beautiful in appearance, she also has a beautiful heart. She and her husband are so in love with this baby girl they’ve yet to meet on the outside. Baby Ava was so wanted and desperately prayed for. She is due to make her appearance around Thanksgiving - thank God for answered prayers.
