Pretty in Pink | Mt. Juliet, TN Newborn Session

Meet Ava, short for Avalyn. She’s the 2nd Ava I’ve met this month… such a pretty baby girl name. This sweet girl was born a mere 8 days ago, the youngest bebe I’ve photographed yet. It took us a while to get into the ’sleepy baby’ mode, but once she started snoozing, we got some BEAUTIFUL images. I adore knit hats on babies… and the wings are just precious. I know that her mommy and daddy are so thankful for a beautiful, healthy baby.

I got to spend a little time with this sweet family yesterday. Baby Girl is due to make her entrance next month… and that means dad is soon going to be WAY outnumbered in the boys vs. girls department! I can tell that little Miss Kati is going to be a great big sister. I loved that she has 2 identical loveys - both named Bear - that she has to have with her. .. reminds me of my little boy and his 4 Peter Rabbits (Bumpy, Lumpy, Peter’s brother & New Pete).
Here’s a tiny sneak peek for you, R ~ hope you enjoy!

A Little Prince is One!

It sure doesn’t seem like enough time has passed, but another one of my sweet babies has turned ONE. Thomas came to see me and eat cake today on his actual birthday - Happy Birthday little guy! His mom has a great talent when it comes to making beautiful cakes. And they’re delicious, to boot! I’ve got to say that one of the best perks of having these ‘birthday cake sessions’ is that I always get to sample the cake when we’re done. I just try to go for the least affected area… today, that meant the side where Thomas’ foot hadn’t been!
Here’s a little sneak peek for his mom & dad… thanks for allowing me the privilege of capturing your precious little boy over this first year, M!

The first “Little Spooks Costume Party” is coming to a close. This has been such FUN seeing all of these votes come in!! Aren’t all of our entrants just precious?? So, who do you think is leading the pack??? I’ll never tell, even though some of you keep asking. Patience, mommies… patience. Some people have added funny little comments to their votes that have kept me laughing. Here are a couple, obviously from our male voters:
- “My wife made me do it”
- “I vote for ______, his mom must be HOT”
- “That kid simply rocks”
I wanted to remind you that voting ends TOMORROW (Friday, November 9th) at 6:00 pm Central. So now is the time to dig deep in your address book and see if there’s anyone else you know who can vote for your Little Spook. I will reveal the contest winner sometime during MONDAY, NOVEMBER 12th - so check back to see who it is. I’ve had so much fun with this contest that I’m already planning the next one… so bookmark the blog and website to stay up to date on the latest news from Courtney Marler Photography!
Calling All Clients…

If you have had a session with me during the past 18 months, I would LOVE to get some feedback from you! I’ve designed a Client Satisfaction Survey and am looking for some good honest opinions from my wonderful clients. If you prefer to remain anonymous, just use a generic name. I want you to feel free to express your thoughts.
As part of the survey, I am also asking for your personal testimonial to include on my website. To make it worth your while, I am giving away the following totally cool items for those who take the time to compose a testimonial. I will choose the testimonial that most moves me (translation: the one that makes me cry happy tears) and allow that client to choose the gift they prefer. Then I will randomly draw 2 more names to give the remaining gifts away.
CLICK HERE FOR THE CLIENT SATISFACTION SURVEY - To be eligible to win one of the gifts below, please submit your surveys/testimonials no later than Sunday, Nov. 18th.
1. An 8×10 custom canvas from Small Words. I was introduced to this talented lady during a recent scrapbook weekend. Ever since, I’ve been stalking her blog and drooling over the awesome things she creates. I love this canvas from the Classic Collection, and wanted to share the love with a lucky client. I’m hoping to get one for my own home as soon as I can decide where to hang it. Check her website to see examples of this canvas in a frame - beautiful!

2. A set of 12 personalized note cards (& envelopes) from Peek-a-Boo Greetings. This dear friend of mine is uber-talented when it comes to creating one-of-a-kind party invitations, Christmas cards, birth announcements, etc. She can take ordinary snapshots you’ve taken and incorporate them into something extraordinary! If you’re looking for Christmas cards that will set you apart from the crowd this holiday season, email Peek-a-Boo greetings today to get started! Here’s an example of the front of some note cards she designed for me as a gift last Christmas - the recipient absolutely loved them!

3. The Bella Belara gift set from Mary Kay. This set contains Bella Belara Eau de Parfum and Shimmeriffic Body Lotion. My dear friend Melynda is a Consultant with Mary Kay and she’s very talented when it comes to helping you look your best on the outside. I wouldn’t let just anyone apply makeup to my face, but trust me when I say you can’t go wrong with her. If you’re looking for some great gift ideas for Christmas, or just need to refresh your makeup stash, click HERE to view her website.

I love & appreciate all of my clients… thank you for allowing me to do what I love and capture precious moments with your babies. I look forward to your responses & hope to see you again in 2008!
