I had so much fun with the original contest, I decided to bring it back this year!
You may enter your child by submitting one non-professional photo (color or B/W) via email to courtney@courtneymarler.com
Submissions will be received NOW - November 1. Once all submissions are in, each photo will be posted on the blog. Please note that I will not use your child’s last name on the blog. Most likely I will reference them by their first or ‘costume’ name. Be sure to send your friends and family to vote! Only one vote per person, plese!
If you have friends who would be interested in entering the contest, please direct them to this blog for more information. The more, the merrier!

Couldn’t you just eat this little one up?! I was beyond thrilled to hear from this family again… I captured big sister Sophie at the age of one, and said yes, Yes & YES to a chance to capture baby sister Stella at 6 months. Stella wasn’t quite as stoked about me as I was about her, BUT she did let me capture this precious smile a time or two. 
Although this session wasn’t really so much about big sister this time, she was happy to pose for me while I got set up. I can honestly say I’ve never carried on a conversation with a 2.5 year old like I did with Miss Sophie… she is amazing! She has the cutest pet name for her dad - “Daddy-O”. Just thinking about her makes me smile.

Seriously, could this little dude BE any cuter?? I can’t believe that Bash, or Ben, or “Pickle” (he already has so many aliases!) is already 6 months old. Seems like just yesterday we were capturing his sweet newborn images. We got to head outside for some of our session this time, but it was so unseasonably chilly that we couldn’t stay out for very long. Bash showed off his sweet smile and we got some great shots… here are just a couple to tide you over, Mom & Dad ~

Baby Ansley holds the record for the farthest distance traveled for a photo session… she and her parents live just outside of Washington, DC! Actually, she didn’t come all this way just to see me, but I am glad that she took time out of her busy schedule during their visit back home to let me capture her 3-month portraits. I met this sweet family very early on in my business. I captured their first baby, Kate, at 3 months old. I was overjoyed to hear that their family had grown and that they wanted me to capture the newest addition, baby Callie. Miss Kate is the third addition to a very sweet family. All three of the kids are extremely photogenic… they have the most amazing eyes. I have to admit that I was a bit intimidated going into this session because mom is a very talented photographer. I was walking through admiring all of the wonderful portraits in their home - all the while praying that I would get something that would be worthy enough for their walls.

One of my favorite babies has turned ONE… Miss Ava Shaye. It seems like just yesterday I was capturing pictures of her mommy & daddy in the days before her…as they awaited the answer to their prayer. I also had the privilege to capture her as a newborn, and then again at six months, and again yesterday. She has the most precious round face and beautiful blue eyes… I could just eat her up! Speaking of eating… she loves her some birthday cake (or “icing” to be more exact)! She had a definite plan of attack on how best to approach the icing - she would eat one little “dot” at a time… very lady-like. Until she went in face-first!

I have been wanting to get my hands on this little babe for a while… and finally got my chance last week. Callie is the newest member of one of my favorite families. She is the happiest baby I’ve ever been around. AND she’s fallen asleep while I’ve held her on two different occasions, so I think that officially trumps her dad (gotcha, J!). I love her big blue eyes, her chubby little rolls, and her little blonde spot right up front. She is a total doll baby!
Ironically, it was big sister Sydney who was working the camera the most during my visit. This sweet girl completely captures my heart… I just love her. She brought out her princess stuff, her hair accessories… she even fixed MY hair.
And I can’t leave out big brother Noah - he is 100% all boy and keeps me up to date on the latest boy stuff. Star Wars? Check. Speed Racer? That too. I love how much he loves his toys. Not only that, both he and Sydney are completely smitten with baby Callie.

This was my 3rd session with sweet little Coralyn… hard to believe that she is now 9 months old. She has undoubtedly one of the most beautiful complexions I’ve ever seen; reminds me of the flawlessness of a porcelain doll’s skin. And I’m sure I don’t have to point out those baby blues… or those sweet little rolls that I love so much! Here’s a tiny sneak peek from our playdate:
