Don’t you just love the name Annalee? I had never heard it before meeting this precious baby girl. Annalee is a little over a month old, but we were still able to get “the shot” that her momma had her heart set on (baby laying on tummy with knees tucked underneath… bottom up in the air… can you visualize the cuteness??) BUT I decided to hold that one back and share a couple of different images for the sneak peek:

She’ll celebrate her first birthday surrounded by LOTS of friends and family next weekend. It’s so hard to believe that a whole year has passed!! Elyssa is part of a wonderful family - her mommy and daddy are so in love with her, and they are such amazing parents. Thanks to you both for allowing me to do what I love, and capture your baby girl during her first year. 
Here’s another favorite of mine… so symbolic of her life at this stage. Venturing out from mom and dad just a little bit, gaining a little bit of independence every day.

I made a new friend today - meet handsome little Hudson. I captured his 3 month portraits in their lovely home. Check out this sweet little thing… with her big blue eyes and super squeezable cheeks. This is the 2nd time I’ve photographed her (actually the 3rd, if you count me capturing her mommy’s maternity images), and it just tickled me to see how big she has grown since I saw her last at 8 days old. She is the spitting image of her daddy, especially when she smiles. And she has the largest stash of bows I have ever seen! Only babies can make rolls like this look good. I’ve captured this sweet baby girl twice now… once as a newborn and again today at 5 months. With her full cheeks, bright eyes, adorable rolls and sweet grins, she is just as cute as ever.
I also had the pleasure today of capturing a few with big sister, Anneliese. She is destined to be on a stage of some sort - bubbly, talkative with lots of dramatic hand motions, energetic and, of course, beautiful. We slipped off to her bedroom while Mommy fed baby sister, and I got THIS:

Spring Cleaning

I decided to do a bit of housekeeping around the blog in the name of “spring cleaning”. How do you like the lighter, brighter look of the blog? Honestly, I don’t have too much to say tonight as I’m getting everything ready to visit a sweet little client in the morning - but I wanted to test everything out.
I’ll be back on Friday afternoon with a sneak peek… but in the meantime, how about a couple of photographs?
These beautiful young ladies are my cousins, Zoe and Lexie. I headed east on I-40 to capture them on the farm where their grandmother grew up. Would you have guessed that they are twins??

This is the little man I got to play with last week… what a sweetheart! I really loved spending time with his family, as well. His “Sunny” (grandma) is just one of the friendliest, most hospitable ladies around… with a knack for decorating and accessorizing. And his mama was super sweet and so easy to talk to… I literally felt like I had known them for years. Interestingly enough, grandpa came in for a bit during our session… and I found out that both he and his wife are from the same town where my mom graduated high school back in East TN. Not only that, he attended the church where my grandfather pastored and happened to know my mom’s whole family. Such a small world!

This little one recently celebrated her first birthday, and mom & dad thought it would be a good time to capture who she is right now. Sophie (or ‘Sophie Moon’ as her daddy called her - so cute) has the most infectious little grin and makes some of the sweetest conversational ‘noises’ that I’ve ever heard. I just loved my time with this precious family - I knew after talking and emailing with mom that they were going to be very special. THANK YOU so much for your confidence in my abilities and vision… I cannot wait for you to see all of your images. Meet Nathan, the beautiful blue-eyed boy I saw today. This little guy is here for a week visiting family and I had the honor of capturing him at the ripe old age of 4 months. He smiled and smiled as long as the camera wasn’t around (I’m onto your tricks, Nathan!) but I think we were able to work around that. Here’s a little peek for his family… enjoy!
A Little Prince is One!

It sure doesn’t seem like enough time has passed, but another one of my sweet babies has turned ONE. Thomas came to see me and eat cake today on his actual birthday - Happy Birthday little guy! His mom has a great talent when it comes to making beautiful cakes. And they’re delicious, to boot! I’ve got to say that one of the best perks of having these ‘birthday cake sessions’ is that I always get to sample the cake when we’re done. I just try to go for the least affected area… today, that meant the side where Thomas’ foot hadn’t been!
