I had the honor of capturing my sweet friend’s maternity images several weeks ago. Isn’t she a beautiful mama-to-be?? She’s only got a couple more weeks to go before sweet baby Brett is in her arms - I can’t wait to meet him! On a side note, I was in LOVE with the location of the outdoor images… some family property with a creek, a couple of waterfalls, trees and rock formations galore! I can only imagine how awesome this scenery is in the fall…

Jessica has the most perfect baby belly I think I’ve ever seen. And this bump is nothing but baby! As beautiful as this mommy-to-be is on the outside, she is even more beautiful within.She and her husband Sherman are sweet friends from church, where he serves as the Student Pastor. They have a tremendous heart for reaching and serving our youth. I know Baby Layne will be a fine young lady with these two as her parents.

This lovely mama and doting dad are expecting their first child, a son, in a little less than a month. Mama is calling him baby BASH (those are his initials), and Daddy sweetly refers to him as Ben-Ben. I had such a blast capturing these images for them. They were very laid back and lots of fun - and their excitement about becoming a family of 3 reminded me of what a sweet and wonderful chapter of life this is.

This beautiful mother-to-be was such a joy to photograph today. I believe what they say about expectant mothers having a glow about them… at almost 37 weeks, Denisha is simply radiant. She is similar to many women, in that she originally didn’t want to be in front of the camera for a session like this. However, her mother convinced her that someday she will treasure these images and be glad that she captured the moment.
I have to admit that even though I always have and always will cringe at being in front of the camera, I do wish that I had something beyond a couple of snapshots to show the changes my body went through during my pregnancy. To me, the beauty in these types of images is not defined by what size you are or how you look… the beauty is the miracle of a new life within, that could only be crafted by the hands of God.

First off, let me wish everyone a very Happy New Year! I hope that your Christmas was blessed with lots of good fun, food and most importantly - family.
I recently traveled back home to East Tennessee to capture my dear friend and her sweet husband as they await the birth of their first child: Isabel Leigh. She is due to make her appearance sometime during the next 6 weeks… I can’t wait to meet her!

I got to spend a little time with this sweet family yesterday. Baby Girl is due to make her entrance next month… and that means dad is soon going to be WAY outnumbered in the boys vs. girls department! I can tell that little Miss Kati is going to be a great big sister. I loved that she has 2 identical loveys - both named Bear - that she has to have with her. .. reminds me of my little boy and his 4 Peter Rabbits (Bumpy, Lumpy, Peter’s brother & New Pete).

Meet the most organized and prepared mom-to-be I have ever met. Not only is this mom beautiful in appearance, she also has a beautiful heart. She and her husband are so in love with this baby girl they’ve yet to meet on the outside. Baby Ava was so wanted and desperately prayed for. She is due to make her appearance around Thanksgiving - thank God for answered prayers.
