I had the honor of capturing my sweet friend’s maternity images several weeks ago. Isn’t she a beautiful mama-to-be?? She’s only got a couple more weeks to go before sweet baby Brett is in her arms - I can’t wait to meet him! On a side note, I was in LOVE with the location of the outdoor images… some family property with a creek, a couple of waterfalls, trees and rock formations galore! I can only imagine how awesome this scenery is in the fall…

I was so excited when Miles’s mom contacted me a few months ago to schedule a newborn session for their upcoming addition. I’ve been looking forward to it because she was referred to me by her best friend, who just happens to be a super sweet client/mom who gave me free reign with her newborn baby boy a few months ago. Cool people tend to stick together, so I knew I would love this family too.
…and I was right. =)

Meet sweet little Benjamin Alexander… or BASH, as he is affectionately called by his mama. 
I have been looking forward to photographing him since our maternity session in February. This little fella didn’t care how anxious anyone was to meet him… he hung in there a week past his due date.
During one of his feeding breaks, his dad and I talked about the instantaneous head-over-heels love that you feel when you first meet your baby. If you have children, you know exactly what that’s about. Those first days at home with a new baby are such a precious time… and I am blessed to be invited in to witness it. Jessica has the most perfect baby belly I think I’ve ever seen. And this bump is nothing but baby! As beautiful as this mommy-to-be is on the outside, she is even more beautiful within.She and her husband Sherman are sweet friends from church, where he serves as the Student Pastor. They have a tremendous heart for reaching and serving our youth. I know Baby Layne will be a fine young lady with these two as her parents.

Baby Ansley holds the record for the farthest distance traveled for a photo session… she and her parents live just outside of Washington, DC! Actually, she didn’t come all this way just to see me, but I am glad that she took time out of her busy schedule during their visit back home to let me capture her 3-month portraits. I met this sweet family very early on in my business. I captured their first baby, Kate, at 3 months old. I was overjoyed to hear that their family had grown and that they wanted me to capture the newest addition, baby Callie. I captured Callie at a little over 4 months old… she (and big sister!) did a great job. Here is a teeny-tiny sneak peek for you… your gallery should be ready soon! Miss Kate is the third addition to a very sweet family. All three of the kids are extremely photogenic… they have the most amazing eyes. I have to admit that I was a bit intimidated going into this session because mom is a very talented photographer. I was walking through admiring all of the wonderful portraits in their home - all the while praying that I would get something that would be worthy enough for their walls.
